September 2023 was a huge month for Ric Flair’s Wooooo Energy drink company. The company signed a huge sponsorship deal just a month after launching its mushroom-infused energy drink, Wooooo Energy. The energy drink is now the official drink of the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio. The NBA team is worth $2.05 Billion, and the deal means an excellent payout for ‘The Dirtiest Player’ in the game.

Since its launch, Wooooo Energy has been making waves and money for Flair. But this is just the start as the CEO reveals plans for the brand and other sports endorsements.

After scoring this massive deal, the company is on cloud nine. There are plenty of talks about the future and the other sponsorships that the company can go after. While one NBA team is in the bag, the NFL and others are waiting. Talking to us at EssentiallySports, Adam Wilks delved into future plans.

Wilks said, “There are some MLB announcements coming, and NHL announcements coming, there’s additional NBA announcements coming.” This shows that plans are in action to bring Woooo Energy to multiple sports and expand on the legacy of Flair.

Wilks also mentioned that apart from the NFL and NBA, they were also looking at combat sports. When asked to divulge more, Wilks said, “There’s a lot of fighting programs out there, there’s AEW, there’s WWE, there’s UFC. There are so many different programs, and we’re excited about all of it.” Maybe one day, Flair will return to the WWE, not as a wrestler or icon but as a sponsor.

The untapped market of mushroom-infused energy drinks

Flair’s sparkling mushroom energy drink is formulated from adaptogenic mushrooms, which have multiple health benefits for the human body. Not only can it fight off the harmful chemicals within the body, but it can also help reduce stress at a cellular level. The energy drink also claims to boost brain power and reduce cancer risk.

These factors are the selling point for Flair’s energy drink venture. As a professional wrestler, Flair’s body has endured much wear and tear. After multiple surgeries and pain pills, Flair needed a change in his lifestyle. This is where the energy drink idea came into play. Not only is it devoid of all harmful chemicals, it also provides the body with the right amount of energy. This is the same reason Mike Tyson and Hulk Hogan entered the business.
