During the podcast, fans ask questions to the guests, and Nikki got quite a controversial one. A fan asked her if she congratulated her ex-fiancé on his surprise wedding. She responded, “I haven’t … but yeah, I didn’t. Are there rules? Am I supposed to? Should I send flowers?”

John Cena and Nikki Bella started dating in 2012. They dated for 5 years before getting engaged in 2017. John proposed to Nikki at WrestleMania 33 after they defeated The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag-team match.

They were engaged for a year; however, they suddenly called off the engagement and canceled the wedding. The wedding was scheduled for May 5th, 2018. Since going their separate ways, Cena and Bella have led very different lives.

Nikki Bella started dating her Dancing With the Stars partner, Artem Chigvintsev. In January 2020, Nikki and Artem announced their engagement and on 31st July she gave birth to their son.

John Cena went on to lose to the Undertaker at WrestleMania, but landed a role in the Fast and the Furious movie franchise. He even starred in the Transformers’ series spin-off movie called Bumblebee.

John married his girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida. The couple had been dating since early 2019. He met her on the set of the movie Playing with Fire. His wife is based in Vancouver, Canada.

Cena and Bella are away from the WWE ring

Both Cena and Bella have been away from WWE for quite some time. Cena’s last appearance came at WrestleMania 36, where he faced the Fiend Bray Wyatt in an insane Firefly Funhouse match that will go down as one of the weirdest yet brilliantly produced WWE matches ever.

Nikki Bella has not wrestled in WWE since Evolution 2018. She wrestled Ronda Rousey in a losing effort, failing to capture the Raw Women’s Championship. Brie and Nikki have confirmed that they will return to the ring, but not anytime soon.
