Bray Wyatt has been credited with being one of WWE’s most creative characters. The former Universal Champion struck gold with the Eater of Worlds’ gimmick long before ‘The Fiend’ was a thing. WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson commented on how WWE completely botched the booking of Bray Wyatt in 2015, on his ARN Podcast.

The Enforcer believes WWE killed Bray Wyatt’s character in 2015

Bray Wyatt was booked to lose against WWE’s top stars but was never pushed as a top guy himself. He lost feuds to The Undertaker, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and even Daniel Bryan. Wyatt had the modern-day Bruiser Brody-Stan Hansen team in Erick Rowan and Luke Harper as his posse. The trio ripped the Shield in a classic six-man tag match but was buried by John Cena at WrestleMania.

Arn Anderson said, “Here is a 300 plus pound guy that can move like that, with a gimmick like that, and his entertainment, and just a creepy, scary crew around him, Big Red and Harper. You’re telling me with three guys in that zip code that you couldn’t figure out a way to not beat Bray that many times? You have monsters running around everywhere.”

“I always thought that Bray Wyatt who had the most creative of characters that he came up with was a part of him deep down that lived in him and that’s the reason why he was able to pull it off. It wasn’t him playing a character. It was just a sliver of the real him amped up and that’s always the characters that gets over. I feel he had a firm grip on it”, said Anderson.

Bray Wyatt was one of WWE’s most creative and charismatic characters

Bray Wyatt was one of the most promising characters in WWE. The gimmick was so complex that only Wyatt could’ve played it to perfection. It was the bravest gimmick to put in front of audiences since The Undertaker, and yet Bray managed to attract the WWE Universe’s attention. His entire presentation, from the lamp to his awesome entrance music, smelt of money.

Arn Anderson is over at AEW and is functioning as Cody Rhodes’ personal advisor and head coach. He has accompanied him to many important matches, especially his TNT Championship matches against the likes of Lance Archer and Brodie Lee. Both Arn and Bray Wyatt are thriving in their respective roles in their respective companies. However, his comments are interesting, what do you make of them?
