This year’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash gave us one of the best women’s triple threat matches in a long time. The match between Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley was highly entertaining, to say the least. After the defeat, Asuka had something to say to one of her opponents on Twitter.

Charlotte and Asuka’s battle history
‘The Nature Girl‘ and ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ have recently been involved in a title match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
They squared off at WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 in a triple threat match for the WWE Raw Women’s title, with Ripley emerging victorious.
Both Asuka and Charlotte Flair had fought each other multiple times ahead of their match at Backlash. The first time the two superstars fought each other was in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge Final where Asuka and The Miz defeated Flair and Bobby Roode in 2018. They had their first singles match on April 8th, 2018, where Charlotte defeated Asuka.

Charlotte and Asuka have been in the same ring in a whopping hundred (100) matches, including house shows/dark matches.
They have fought together and against each other in singles, tag teams and mixed tag team matches. No wonder they have excellent chemistry when they step into the ring.

Their latest bout in WrestleMania Backlash has perfectly summed up their vast experience and understanding of each other’s moves and spots.
We are sure that Backlash isn’t the end of the great rivalry and will see both the talented women superstars back in the same ring again.
But at the same time, it worries us that overbooking two wrestlers almost on a weekly to bi-weekly basis might make the fans lose interest in them.
