Charlotte has been out of action since June 22nd this year and fans have been eagerly awaiting her return. Amidst rumors that she was pursuing a Hollywood career, many assumed she had taken time off from WWE.

Apparently, we were all wrong in that assumption. In a recent report from Dave Meltzer in Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was mentioned that Charlotte is expected to make her return at TLC. She is currently in St. Petersburg, Florida.

She will be the new tag team partner of Asuka and will be chosen as such by her. The pair will face off against Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

Asuka’s original partner, Lana, was put out of action following a horrific attack by Jax and Baszler last week on Raw. She was forced to either play handicapped or chose a new partner.

Fans had already turned their eyes towards Charlotte Flair, who was teasing a return for weeks. It was all but confirmed when this window opened for her to fit back into a storyline.

Charlotte Flair needed the time off from WWE for her character

Charlotte had spent a long time in NXT before making a brief return to the main roster this year. Igniting a feud against Rhea Ripley, she was blindsided by Io Shirai, who got the better of the two in the end.

‘The Queen’ is by far the most consistent Superstar in WWE. She rarely faces any fitness issues. Her regular appearances, however, made fans used to seeing her face and the call for change was near.

Making use of Charlotte’s time out, WWE brought back Sasha Banks and Bayley. This started the ‘Golden Role Model’ era that is all but over now. Charlotte will be the filler that the Raw Women’s Division desperately needs.
