Certain people question the role of celebrities in the WWE, claiming they add nothing to the product. The mainstream appeal of certain celebrities adds to WWE’s value, while some celebrities’ appeal bounces off WWE. Bad Bunny is fortunately falling in the former category.

Bad Bunny’s merchandise sales have made him the highest earner in WWE right now. According to Fightful Select, the Puerto Rican sensation has driven more than $500,000 in sales.

Bad Bunny has four items on sale, all of which occupy the top five best sellers. This includes one of his popular shirts, a women’s and youth version of it, and a pullover hoodie. The #5 item on the list did only 65% of the sales Bad Bunny’s merchandise did, and that’s the Tribal Chief’s merch.

This is a startling achievement for the rapper, and a strange feature to be seen in the WWE. The rapper is commanding incredibly high numbers, and out-selling Roman Reigns is a massive feat for him.

Fans have been critical of WWE using celebrities to boost their ratings, but it has worked with the artist. Wrestling journalist Ryan Satin also talked about how Bad Bunny merchandise is dominating the WWE Shop. This might show fans that while a celebrity may not add to the value of the product, he is surely making them a lot of money.
