The WWE Women’s division is a tale of two brands. On RAW, the division is suffering from the absence of Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. RAW Women’s Champion Asuka has been carrying the division on her shoulders since Becky vacated the title, but her successor is still to be found.

SmackDown has benefited from the amazing Bayley vs Sasha Banks rivalry and strong mid-card comprising Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Natalya, Chelsea Green and Bianca Belair. Even Carmella has really stepped up her game, delivering an impressive performance against Sasha Banks.

The RAW Women’s Championship has a readymade WrestleMania match in Charlotte Flair vs Asuka. Charlotte is clearly not very impressive as a face. By turning on Asuka, Flair will be first in line to challenge for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

This obviously means that the winner of the Royal Rumble should come from SmackDown. Bianca Belair is a favourite to win the match and face Sasha Banks at WrestleMania. Her feud with Bayley might culminate at the Royal Rumble or at a PPV following the Rumble, but her talent and charisma warrants a match at WrestleMania.

Lana has been enjoying a wonderful run on RAW. She shocked the world when she was the sole survivor at Survivor Series. The Ravishing Russian even holds wins against both Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, and she might just shock the world once again.

After losing to Raquel Gonzalez at NXT New Year’s Evil, Rhea Ripley finds herself with no direction. Her term in NXT has run its course, and it is time for the Aussie to find a new challenge. Winning the Royal Rumble might be the perfect start to her main roster run. A rematch with Charlotte Flair could also be on the cards if Flair takes the title from Asuka before WrestleMania.
