This is a shocking news for many wrestling pundits. Almost everyone had predicted that Sasha won’t be making her return before Royal Rumble.

That would’ve set her up for a titanic WrestleMania clash with Bayley. However, it seems like WWE is prepared to take a different route.

Bayley had cut a scathing promo on Sasha Banks

Last week, Bayley dug deep into the wounds of Sasha Banks. She spewed all the venom that she had stored in some deep, dark corner of her heart.

According to her, she just gained the first mover’s advantage. Banks had the same intentions in mind but she just couldn’t get an opportune moment to execute them.

Post that, Bayley got brutally honest as she described the transactional nature of their relationship. Until the point Banks was helping her to gain victories, she was useful. Now that Banks was more of a thorn in her path, she had to be eradicated.

How does Sasha’s return change things?

Sasha Banks is expected to address Bayley’s betrayal on this week’s episode. Needless to say, she would kick-start the much-awaited rivalry.

However, does this mean that the rumored WrestleMania main event is now out of the picture? The WWE Universe certainly thinks so and their assumptions are not devoid of reason.

If they start their rivalry now, it’ll be difficult to sustain it until Mania without any matches. Unfortunately, if we already see them compete against each other multiple times, their match at WrestleMania won’t have the USP to qualify itself as a main event.

Most probably, we are in for a ‘Hell in a Cell’ battle. The unrelenting walls of the cage will allow the two former friends to unleash their latent frustration.
