Becky Lynch Drops a 4-Word Apology for Former NXT Women’s Champion After Denying Her a Dream Opportunity

The latest edition of Monday Night Raw saw Trish Stratus squaring off against Raquel Rodriguez in the women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match. While Raquel Rodriguez dominated Trish Stratus initially, Zoey Stark’s presence at ringside was proving to stall Rodriguez’s momentum. And then an interference from Becky Lynch cost Rodriguez her dream opportunity. 

When Becky Lynch came to the ringside to neutralize Zoey Stark’s involvement in the match, Trish jumped out of the ring to attack Lynch. Subsequently, Lynch unintentionally made physical contact with Trish, leading to her win over Rodriguez via disqualification. After the match, Becky Lynch took to her social media to take accountability for her actions.

Becky Lynch publicly apologizes for her actions on RAW

Now that Raquel Rodriguez is robbed of her dream opportunity, Trish Stratus will enter the Money in the Bank ladder match against Becky Lynch, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, Bayley, and Iyo Sky. As we all know, the person who retrieves the briefcase gets a shot at the top Women’s Championship anywhere and anytime they choose. 

After costing Raquel Rodriguez her qualifying match, Becky Lynch stood contritely in the ring while Raquel Rodriguez pointed fingers. Taking to Twitter, The Man posted a hilarious four-letter apology for her actions. Lynch’s tweet saw an old gif of R-Truth saying, “That…this was on me.”

R-Truth’s gif makes the former Women’s Champion’s apology message funny. R-Truth is widely known for his comedic gimmick in WWE. Anyway, at this point, Raquel Rodriguez is out of the big picture.

We will have to wait and see if Raquel Rodriguez accepts Lynch’s apology if the duo cross paths again on the go-home edition of RAW next week. 

Zoey Stark is angling to fight Becky Lynch

Before Zoey Stark came into the fold, Becky Lynch was feuding with Trish Stratus. However, ahead of their feud, Trish and Becky defended their Women’s Tag Team Champions against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. It’s worth noting that Trish Stratus defended Lita’s title for her due to the Freebird rule. 

After losing the Championships, Trish Stratus attacked Becky Lynch, sparking a rivalry. At Night of Champions, Trish Stratus defeated Becky Lynch with an assist from Zoey Stark. And now, Becky Lynch is in the crosshairs of Zoey Stark.

While speaking on Women’s Wrestlin Talk, the 29-year-old Stark stated that she is looking to have a one-on-one match with Becky Lynch after Money in the Bank. She said, “I would definitely have that one-on-one match with Becky Lynch. I’m definitely thinking probably after Money in the Bank is when it would probably make more sense, but for sure. Being able to be in a program with her is incredible. Like, She is amazing.”
