In 2018, WWE truly went through a Women’s revolution. To commemorate this, WWE put up the first-ever all-women pay-per-view celebrating the women of WWE named Evolution. In this historic pay-per-view, there was a never-before-seen match as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair took part in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match in WWE.

The Man‘ defeated Flair to win the championship at Hell in a Cell 2018. The two consecutive rematches either ended in disqualification or count-out.

Post that, SmackDown General Manager Paige announced that the two would have another rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Evolution, but this time, it would be a last woman standing match.

Per the stipulation, both women left no stones unturned to gain the title. Lynch received multiple kendo stick shots, a spear on the outside, and a figure-eight lock with ladders.

Lynch hit Flair with a leg-drop from a ladder to the announce table. However, it was a table slam which eventually helped Becky with the win.

Charlotte was getting ready for a moonsault with “The Man” on the table at the ringside, but Lynch took over and overpowered Flair at the last moment.

Flair could not recover from the fall, and Becky stood tall as she retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship.
