WWE’s PPV Money in the Bank event will take place this Saturday at the O2 Arena, London. The stadium is going to be packed with 20,000 hardcore fans cheering for their favorite stars. The night promises grand entertainment with exciting matches ranging from the Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor match-up for the World Heavyweight Championship to the anticipated Bloodline Civil War segment.

But the main events of the night will still be the Money in the Bank ladder matches for the men’s and women’s division. For ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch, who has her eye on the briefcase, this MITB is extra special because of one heartwarming reason.

Becky has worked really hard to get to where she is today. From being a small-time wrestler on the independent circuit to becoming one of the top female athletes in the world is undoubtedly a commendable feat. During her recent appearance on ‘talkSPORT’, she talked about how she would travel for training from Ireland to the UK with her mother, who was a flight attendant.

She said, “For me this is a special one because I’m from Ireland and I started when I was 15 years old, so we are talking 21 years ago. And I would come over to England and do these summer camps in Kent. There was a place called Hammerlock NWA UK, and I would come over and fly into Heathrow, stand by my mom. She was a flight attendant so we got cheap airfare. And I’d catch the train down and train there and to think that I would ever be in the WWE was just so beyond the realm of possibility. So to be able to be back here and performing in the MITB at a premium live event, it’s just mind blowing!”

Lynch is a Triple Crown Champion and one of the longest-reigning RAW Women’s champions, second only to Bianca Belair. She is definitely no stranger to victory. However, she has five women standing between her and the briefcase at the MITB ladder match this Saturday.

The Women’s Money in the Bank on July 1st will feature Zelina Vega, Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Trish Stratus. Except for Bayley, none of the other wrestlers have ever won at MITB. Getting a hold of the prized briefcase promises them both money and new glory. While a good show is a given with the current line-up, fans are looking forward to seeing one particular feud play out in the ring.

Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch’s feud goes back to 27th May when Trish beat Becky at Night Of Champions with some assistance from Zoey Stark. With all three of them in the ring, fans hope to see Becky hit Trish with her iconic ‘Bexploder’ the way she did on RAW earlier this May.
