Sheamus had been absent from WWE programming since August 2023 because of a serious shoulder injury. Initially, the timeline drawn up had suggested that he could return in a few months. So much so that they are fighting the haters for him!

Well, it surely looks like the fans are in full support of the WWE superstar. Sheamus’ last match before his break was against Edge (now Adam Copeland in AEW), in what ended up being the farewell match of WWE’s ‘The Rated-R Superstar’. Sheamus is another superstar whose contract was set to expire in 2024. But it may have been extended into next year due to the sheer number of months he has been injured.
