Dwayne Johnson is one of the most prolific names in the world of entertainment. After starting his career as a footballer, and expanding it to become an actor and a pro wrestler, Johnson has done it all. Apart from acting currently, Johnson is also an expert in business. Currently, the owner and investor of various successful businesses, Johnson is one of the most successful names in the industry. He also happens to be one of the highest-paid actors in the world. However, not everything was easy and handed out to Dwayne Johnson.

When Dwayne Johnson started going out to movies, he was one of the biggest names in WWE. However, he was still a newcomer in Hollywood, and had to struggle a lot before making it out there. During an interview with Howard Stern, around a decade ago, Johnson revealed how his pro-wrestling fame did not matter in Hollywood.

While several actors struck gold with their debut film, Dwayne Johnson had to work hard and find his connection with his genre of films. Various actors began their acting career with critically acclaimed films. However, Johnson made his debut against Brendan Fraser in Mummy returns. Although the film was a hit, Dwayne Johnson’s role was a result of horrifying CGI.

In his interview with Stern, The Rock revealed that during his early-phase in Hollywood, celebrities would often shy away from talking to him.

The 50-year-old said, “So, celebrities they shy away from me. Yeah, like they can’t talk to me or something. I don’t know what it is.”  However, it might have been that Johnson looked very intimidating, and was not his lovable person as he his now.

Dennis Villenvue’s 2013 film, ‘The Prisoners’ recently surpassed Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. The Prisoners became the No.1 Streamed film on OTT platforms in the USA, after going past the poorly rated Black Adam.

Black Adam was loved by the fans, but absolutely hated and criticised poorly by the critics. Whereas, The Prisoners currently is one of the world’s highly acclaimed thriller films. As per a report by Comicbook.com, Prisoners were streamed 85o million minutes in a week, while Black Adam was streamed just over 630 million minutes.
