Edge has quite the reputation in the WWE. With the moniker of being the Rated R Superstar, you wouldn’t think he would have a heart-to-heart with a young fan. But that was the old Edge; the new one is a father now, and his recent interaction will make anyone melt.  

Edge recently appeared on SmackDown before his 25-year anniversary celebration in the company next week. Despite having a big announcement, he made time to make one fan’s night the best night of their life.

Edge gained a clear perspective after becoming a father

This episode of SmackDown saw Edge making a surprise appearance. Fans were waiting for the Rated R Superstar to show up in Toronto for his 25-year celebration next week. However, Edge had an announcement to make; he challenged Sheamus to a match on the upcoming SmackDown episode. 

The promo excited the fans for a great match next Friday. However, there was one thing left for Edge to do. Making his way off-camera into the fans, he met a young fan and shared a few words with him. Taking to social media, the fan’s father posted how special this moment was for the child and thanked Edge for taking the time to do so.

Taking to social media, the Rated R Superstar retweeted the post with his caption. He talked about how becoming a father changed his perspective on his job. He captioned the post, “Best. Part. Of. The. Gig.” Ever since his return to the WWE in 2020’s Royal Rumble, he’s been a different person.

During an interview with SportsNet 590, he spoke about how much he loved being a father. The interaction with the young fan clearly shows how fatherhood has changed Edge. In 2016, he tied the knot with Beth Phoenix. The two have two girl children together.

Edge is known to be one of the most loved WWE superstars among the fans. He is also a very charitable person outside the WWE. He is known to take time to meet and thank fans and is one of the most approachable people in the WWE. Despite his opportunistic nature in the ring, there are countless stories about his kind demeanor outside with fans. 

This return of Edge could be the last in his WWE run. On social media, a post asked fans who should be his final opponent. This sparked the debate on who Edge should face as his final feud. The possible list of opponents could range from his old frenemy Randy Orton to someone who just came up to the main roster. Unlike last time, when he was forced to retire in 2011, Edge will likely go out on his terms this time around.
