The Triple-Threat match for the Women’s Championship at SummerSlam left nothing to be desired. All three competitors fought tooth and nail in a bid to emerge victorious. But Bianca Belair rose against the odds and became the new Women’s Champion. However, her title reign came to a screeching halt. Iyo Sky, who lurked in the shadows, bided her time to cash in her MITB briefcase and claim the championship.

Taking advantage of an injured Belair, Iyo Sky stole the Women’s Championship with the help of Bayley. Despite the brevity of Belair’s title reign, she took to social media to celebrate her win.

Things didn’t look good for The EST when she landed awkwardly outside the ring, knee first. At that point, fans were convinced that Belair would not be able to continue into the match. However, Belair recuperated and entered the match, much to the thrill of the WWE Universe.

During the closing moments, Belair, who was still favoring her knee, had the wherewithal to climb the top turnbuckle and deliver an astonishing 450 splash on Charlotte Flair, while the latter had Asuka in the Figure 8 submission. Belair then pinned Flair to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. But Sky came out flanked by Bayley and picked up the scraps, victimizing an injured Belair for the win.

Even in the face of defeat, Belair used her Instagram Story to share images of her previous triumphs as a champion. In the collage, we can see Belair holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship, The Raw Women’s Championship, and the WWE Women’s Championship. Regrettably, though, her next story was a woman’s facepalming emoji.

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if Bianca Belair heals up quickly and comes after Iyo Sky. Meanwhile, it’s safe to bet that Charlotte Flair and Asuka will be angling for another shot at the Championship.

Although Sky is enjoying her first reign as the WWE Women’s Champion, she has a target on her back. Nevertheless, the inclusion of Belair in the upcoming storyline is up in the air with an injury concern.

Is Bianca Belair’s injury real?

As mentioned earlier, Bianca Belair wailed in pain after suffering a dangerous fall outside the ring. This prompted the medical staff to rush to Belair’s aid.

Although Belair was seemingly seriously injured, she came back to finish the match. This has led to speculation that her injury was kayfabe. But we should also note that the referee threw the “X” symbol after Belair hurt herself.

The fact that she returned to win the match proves Belair’s injury based on the storyline. It remains to be seen if the former Women’s Champion makes her appearance in SmackDown this week.
