Big E and The New Day Detail Their Brief Encounters With Gable Steveson and Tamyra Mensah-Stock at WWE SummerSlam 2021

The New Day, Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods, spoke about meeting Olympic Gold Medalists, Tamyra Mensah-Stock and Gable Stevenson, at SummerSlam 2021.
Big E expressed how he felt meeting the gold medallists right before his match.
“I knew that she won the gold, I think at 61 kg and I just love the energy and her interviews. And as soon as I saw her I was kind of getting ready for my match but I just stopped and said sorry to interrupt but you are incredible. I love your energy and she, that’s the most bubbly, most natural, gave me the greatest hug. Her energy is so incredible. Whatever it is that she wants to do or she chooses to do I’m sure she’ll be incredible at it.”

“And then Gable Stevenson, I just had a moment to stop and say salute. We wrestled in high school. And I know how hard it is at the high school level, I became a state champion, I know how much work that took. That’s not even a 10th of a percentage of what it takes to get to the Olympics let alone become a gold medalist.”
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods chimed in as well. According to Kingston, both her match and especially the speech afterwards is enough to make anybody feel good. On the other hand, Xavier Woods believes that the medalists, especially Tamyra, was genuinely pumped to be backstage at SummerSlam 2021.

Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods are working actively with WWE
As of now, Big E was a part of a storyline with Baron Corbin. It so happened that Corbin stole E’s Money in the Bank briefcase on SmackDown. At SummerSlam 2021, Big E and Corbin kicked off the event with a match. Here, E took back what was his. However, Corbin hit the jackpot at Las Vegas and offered to buy E’s briefcase for as high as $100,000.
