Big E flattened Apollo with a massive spear through the ropes and off the ring apron, and both men covered a long distance with the impact. Crews fought his way back into the match with a death valley driver on the apron and set up the steel steps below him. He tried to flatten Big E’s head by smashing him between the steel steps, but Big E dodged it.

Crews would end up digging his own grave as he would get planted on the steel steps courtesy of an uranage. The champion set up a table in the ring and went to put the challenger through it, but Crews fought back and destroyed him with shots with the kendo stick.

He then laid Big E on the table and looked to hit the frog splash but ate a mouthful of wood.
