Not only the fans in the homes but wrestlers backstage get thrilled with certain surprise entrants. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently revealed in an interview how a WWE commentator lost his job because he couldn’t handle his excitement while calling the match.
Speaking on his ‘Hall of Fame‘ podcast, the five-time WCW World Heavyweight champion revealed that back when he made his surprise entrance at the 2011 Rumble match, commentator Matt Striker got fired because he “marked out” after seeing Booker.
“All these young guys were in there waiting on me. Matt Striker, he got fired because of me that night because he marked out at the commentary team”
Honestly, it was not Striker’s fault. The sheer excitement of the Rumble matches does that to a person. Eventually, this year’s Rumble seems to be one of the best Rumbles in recent history as multiple female legends are ready to rock the ring.
WWE can have more surprises at the men’s Royal Rumble match
Vince McMahon and the company went out of their way and announced all the legendary female wrestlers who are going to make their comebacks at the PPV.
Superstars like Lita, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, and many more are returning to the ring, and the fans couldn’t get happier. However, WWE has not announced all the members of the 30-Man Royal Rumble event.

Yes, there are superstars from the current roster, but the management has been tight-lipped regarding the addition of any legendary male superstar from the past.
One more surprise can be the opening of ‘Forbidden Door’ in the men’s Rumble. As we all know WWE invited Impact’s superstar Mickie James to the Rumble, similarly this could happen with the men’s division as well.
