Money in the Bank 2023 is just around the corner as the weekend draws closer. The matchups are looking interesting so far.  One of them, in particular, could be the start of a new rivalry. For the past few weeks, Dominik Mysterio and Cody Rhodes have been cooking up a story of their own. It looks like the two are going to face each other head-on to resolve the issue this weekend.

Fans were also looking forward to seeing a special someone at Rhodes’ side at the event. However, new updates suggest Rhodes might be alone in the arena after all.

Will Cody Rhodes be alone at his MITB match?

After interrupting Rhea Ripley‘s moment in the last Raw episode, Rhodes featured in a promo backstage. There, fans caught Rhodes playing with his four-legged furry friend, Pharaoh. Fans who knew Rhodes from his time in AEW were already acquainted with the white husky.

For some fans, however, it wasn’t enough to see Rhodes’ furry companion. A section of the fanbase demanded to see Brandi Rhodes on screen as well. In fact, some were already disappointed to see Pharaoh feature in a promo before Rhodes’ wife.

Even though fans mentioned the same as soon as WWE made Pharaoh’s appearance viral, no good came out of their request. Soon after, Brandi took to Twitter herself and wrote a reply that might have broken a few hearts among the audience. She went on to tweet, “Y’all calling on me when Pharaoh is RIGHT THERE.”

To some WWE fans, this was a clear sign that The American Nightmare’s beloved won’t be appearing on WWE TV anytime soon. However, there was still a ray of hope among a few that she might show up at Rhodes’ MITB match. But it looks like that might not happen either.

Brandi’s recent Instagram post suggests that on Cody’s birthday, the couple isn’t together. This is because the 38-year-old is busy with the preparations for his MITB match against Dominik Mysterio. In the caption of Cody’s birthday post, Brandi wrote, “Happy Birthday to our dear Papa. Wish we could celebrate with you today. It is your day! Don’t take [sh*t] from anyone!”

This post and caption by Brandi suggest that Rhodes has been away due to his tight schedule and might not see his family at the event either. Brandi’s personal sacrifice will break some more hearts in the audience as they won’t get to see their wish of seeing her at MITB 2023 realized.
