Near the end of 2022, Bray Wyatt began teasing the character of Uncle Howdy. Said to be the embodiment of Wyatt’s torment, he made his debut on SmackDown in December 2022. Scaring LA Knight, he established that Wyatt and Howdy were two different people. Now, in 2024, after the Eater of Worlds’ tragic passing, the WWE has laid a trail of breadcrumbs hinting at his return.

Employing a series of glitches and QR codes shown during the airing of WWE RAW and SmackDown, the anticipation for the return has reached an all-time high.

The WhiteRabbit TikTok account hints at the return of Uncle Howdy, similar to Bray Wyatt

Despite sharing similar supernatural abilities like The Undertaker, Wyatt’s gimmicks have had one advantage: social media. The WWE has crafted great anticipation for Uncle Howdy’s return to the squared circle using cryptic messages on TikTok and X. Even the main WWE account posted a series of “Hello” before deleting it to build up the hype. While everything until now was tiny clues, the mother load has seemingly dropped on TikTok under the account name, The White Rabbit.

The White Rabbit Tiktok account was used when Wyatt was ready to return to the WWE in 2022. Post that, it has been inactive for a long time. However, two years later, another recently uploaded video seems to hint at the return of the Uncle Howdy character. The video, being 0:51 seconds long, has a series of random images of flies and birds. Along with this is a veiled woman whose identity is yet to be revealed. A note with the message “Remember who you are” is seen in the video. With melancholy music in the background, the video is like a horror movie teaser trailer. The return could also see a familiar face make his presence known if rumors are to be believed.

The interjection of Matt Hardy into the Howdy storyline

Despite Uncle Howdy having no storyline to insert himself into, there is a chance that the WWE will reboot the Wyatt 6 storyline. There have been rumors that Matt Hardy would be interested in bringing his Broken Matt gimmick to the WWE. Furthermore, the former WWE star is a free agent after his AEW contract expired recently. Moreover, he has also poured fuel onto the fire of his involvement by posting about the cryptic QR codes.

Talking to PWMania, Hardy said, “Anytime a Broken Matt opportunity is there for me, I’m always here for it.” This was his answer to working in the Uncle Howdy storyline in a hypothetical sense.
