

Brock Lesnar is one of the most successful WWE stars. But he is also a great advisor. In fact, he once gave out a piece of advice to his friend and WWE superstar Shelton Benjamin and asked him to stop performing his 450 Splash move.
Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin are great friends. The two men wrestled together during their Ohio Valley Wrestling days. Lesnar and Benjamin even won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship on three different occasions.
During an interview with Fightful, Benjamin recalled that Lesnar advised him to stop doing the 450 Splash move.

Benjamin said, “The last time I did it I basically got injured. I banged my elbow, and I actually had to have surgery on it. Then, going further, there’s a lot of stuff I used to do that I just stopped doing.”
“Believe it or not, this is advice that Brock gave me. He said, ‘If you can hit it ten out of ten times, do it. If you can do it nine out of ten times, never try to do it on TV,’” he added. (H/T: Ringside News)
Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar are still signed to WWE. Both men are extremely talented. However, Benjamin did not enjoy as much success as Brock Lesnar did.
That does not mean Benjamin did not win any championships. He is a former WWE United States Champion and a former WWE Intercontinental Champion.
Coming to Brock Lesnar, he is all set to headline WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas. Brock will face Roman Reigns in a Winner Takes All match for the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship.

Did Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar know each other before OVW?
Lesnar and Benjamin were not any strangers to each other when they got paired up in OVW. They knew each other since their university days. Lesnar attended the University of Minnesota on a wrestling scholarship.

Over there, he and Benjamin were roommates. Both of them trained together over there before appearing in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Thus, Benjamin is one of those guys that share a long history with the Beast Incarnate. Recently, Benjamin also expressed his interest in facing Brock Lesnar inside the squared circle.
