Brock Lesnar has had feuds with various top stars in the company. The Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena and Roman Reigns are a few of whom have fought with Lesnar, but the beast incarnate was also supposed to go one on one, with the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The match was supposed to take place at King of the Ring 2002 and Lesnar was scheduled to win.
However, the match did not take place since Austin was not keen on letting Lesnar over him, the veteran. The ending of the match was suggested by Brian Gerwitz, and Steve Austin did not take well it. Stone Cold walked out of the company in 2002, after not agreeing with Lesnar Vs Stone Cold match outcome.
Gerwitz, in his latest book, ‘There’s Just One Problem…: True Tales from the Former, One-Time, 7th Most Powerful Person in WWE’ revealed that, for long he was concerned on Austin’s end of the Austin vs Lesnar match and did not take into consideration Lesnar’s perspective.

He said, “The funny thing is all these years I was so concerned over Austin end of “Austin vs Brock” match, I rarely ever thought about it from Brock’s perspective. Did he, too, feel it was a huge mistake? Did he resent me and the writers for even suggesting it? Did he even care, or was it just another match for him?”
Gerwitz would further reveal how he never bothered to find that and instead always kept his distance from Lesnar. Until, WrestleMania 30, when he was backstage, he saw Lesnar, Heyman, Michael Hayes and The Undertaker talking. Gerwitz revealed that he approached the group and extended his hand towards Lesnar, who then stared Gerwitz down with a menacing look.

He claimed several thoughts came into his mind, even Paul Heyman telling about him to Lesnar. Brian Gerwitz stated, “What has Paul Heyman been telling Brock about me that will make him want to end my life?” He stated that normally other wrestlers did not intimidate him, but Brock Lesnar was different. The Young Rock writer then claimed that if Brock would have wanted to put him in a coma, he could have done so and Paul Heyman would have defended him.
Finally, after a menacing stare-down, Brock Lesnar broke into a big smile and laughter and began shaking his hand and thus putting an end to one of the scariest moments of his life. Gerwitz even stated that he was scarier than when he had experienced failed brakes on a downhill slope during a snowstorm.
