When old feuds revive, the WWE Universe thoroughly enjoys it. Keeping that in mind, there’s a possibility two top Superstars will revive a former rivalry – Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar.

On SmackDown: October 29th, 2021, The Scottish Warrior took on Mustafa Ali, and defeated him using Lesnar’s signature Kimura Lock. Reportedly, there’s a reason McIntyre used that particular move to defeat Ali, well, WWE asked him to.

Now, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer has reported that there is a greater significance to this.

“There was significance in Drew McIntyre using the Kimura (Brock Lesnar’s submission move) on Mustafa Ali on SmackDown.” H/t CageSideSeats

Undoubtedly, the significance is that WWE must be building towards a huge match between The Beast and The Scottish Warrior. It’s unknown exactly when this will happen or how, but it must be a plan in motion.

Another significance of McIntyre using the Kimura Lock could be that Lesnar’s indefinite suspension will end soon, and The Beast will return to the ring!

Fans Bash WWE on Social Media for Controversial Mustafa Ali Segment

WrestleMania 38 is a good event for Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar

McIntyre shifted to SmackDown following Crown Jewel 2021, on October 22nd, 2021. He issued an open challenge, Sami Zayn answered, McIntyre defeated him. The same cycle repeated the following SmackDown, but instead of Zayn, it was Mustafa Ali.

Even though he is moving through the roster by taking down one man at a time, he obviously wants a title opportunity. On the other hand, WWE is reportedly planning a huge match between Lesnar and Universal Champion Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 38.
