Buddy Murphy finally spoke out after his unfortunate WWE release. The former ‘Best Kept Secret’ opened up on his career working in 205 Live and how he went from being one of the future stars on SmackDown to a disposable talent. Bliss and Murphy were engaged for two years but split in September 2018. They met when Murphy debuted in NXT alongside Wesley Blake, and Bliss was their manager. This romance blossomed into a two-year engagement which sadly ended. Now, Bliss is engaged for musician Ryan Cabrera.

Neither Murphy nor Bliss was very vocal about their relationship, but the former claimed he was grateful for her during his WWE run. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Murphy confessed he’s grateful for his ex-fiancee’s role in his WWE career.

“It sounds weird but I’m grateful for Alexa Bliss. Like she was a massive, pivotal point since I’ve lived here; she’s massive. We share dogs together so they’re my family.” Murphy even gave his condolences to Bliss’ pig Larry Steve who died last month. “I was actually looking at photos before of Larry when he was little, and I was like heartbroken.”

“She’s been pivotal. She was with me when I hated it, and you know we had the ups and downs, so she’s riding that rollercoaster too. But you know, I don’t think that I would’ve lasted as long. She helped me, obviously. She was just that shoulder to lean on when stuff got hard- so definitely thankful for her.”

During the interview, Buddy Murphy listed a bunch of promotions we would like to work at. Surprisingly, AEW wasn’t on his list, especially with his friend and former rival Tommy End/Malakai Black debuting this Wednesday on Dynamite.

Murphy said IMPACT Wrestling is an interesting place to wrestle because of his friendship with Sami Callihan. Callihan faces Kenny Omega this coming Sunday for the IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship. He even claimed he wrestled Sami in dark matches in NXT.

Murphy even listed Ring of Honor as a potential destination once his no-compete clause ends. The former Cruiserweight Champion claims he still has friends in ROH, a few of whom he worked with on the Australian independent scene. Tons of destinations, but which path will the Best Kept Secret take?
