Rhea Ripley entered in style and expected to easily win the tournament, but she was surprisingly eliminated! NXT Talent Kacy Catanzaro impressed with a very lion-hearted performance. She was undoubtedly the wild card.

However, she too couldn’t use the raw skill to her advantage and was eliminated. The finalists of the tournament were the favorite Shotzi Blackheart and Candice LeRae.

Few fans expected Candice LeRae to actually win the Battle Royale

Everyone expected Shotzi to get her second shot at the title, and compete in another superb wrestling showdown against Io Shirai. Fate had other plans.

Both Superstars found themselves in a fight for their lives outside the ring ropes on the steel steps. While technically out of the ring, neither of the Superstars’ feet had touched the floor yet.

Johnny Gargano, for one, is immensely proud of his partner, and we may see the title switch hands. Even though she does talk over her due, Candice LeRae surely has the skills to pay the bills.
