Injuries are part and parcel of a pro wrestler’s career. The worst-case scenario has forced wrestlers to call it a day. Others had to deal with pain or even curtail part of their in-ring style to avoid getting injured. Fresh off an injury stint, an AEW star has hinted at changing the way he wrestles.

Sammy Guevara made a return to the promotion after weeks out of action. He had a big moment with veteran Chris Jericho. He revealed this information on Insight with Chris Van Vliet’s podcast.

He came back to wrestling after welcoming his newborn with his wife Tay Melo.

“I’m used to doing all the ‘I’m Crazy ‘ stuff but now I’m like, yeah, I guess I can’t be that crazy anymore. I don’t know if we’re going to dial it back but I think we’ll be more selective with how and when we do the crazy stuff. There was stuff in Lucha Underground, doing a moonsault 14 feet in the air to Jake Hager. Who bless his heart, tried to catch me, but there’s only so much you can do” the AEW star who recently became a father told Van Vliet on the show.

Guevara will be involved in an eight-man tag team match at AEW Worlds End. The PPV will emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on December 30.

He will team up with Chris Jericho, Sting and Darby Allin to take on Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher, Ricky Starks and Big Bill.

Sammy Guevara returned to action on Dec. 27’s Dynamite after overcoming a concussion. However, The Don Callis Family’s Boxing Week Celebration turned Sammy Guevara’s celebratory comeback into a rather tense affair. Despite Don presenting a custom portrait featuring Sammy’s baby, Sammy wasn’t thrilled about the inclusion of his child in the portrait.

Tensions escalated as Sammy criticized Callis for his leadership in his absence, resulting in a physical altercation and a four-on-one beatdown. Chris Jericho’s timely intervention saved Sammy, leading to an unexpected hug between the two. The moment of unity was short-lived, as AEW Tag champs Ricky Starks and Big Bill crashed the party, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown at Worlds End.
