Ahead of Clash at the Castle in an interview with Gorilla Position, Gunther wished to face Brock Lesnar in a WWE event in Austria.

The Intercontinental Champion talked about a WWE show in Austria. He said, “I hope so. I hope anyway, this is successful now, and it becomes a little of a tradition. In Europe overall, they come back once a year or something like that with an event like that. Obviously Ernst Happel Stadium, I think, would be a premium choice for the next one. So hopefully it works out.”

The Ring General, when asked about facing Lesnar, said, “It would be great. I think he’s a fantastic wrestler and I hope to get in the ring with him.”

Furthermore, after this interview Gunther was approached by Cultaholic Wrestling. The host had heard Brock Lesnar’s name from his previous interview, and asked him the same question. Gunther said, “Yeah, I’m (up for Brock Lesnar).”

The Beast Incarnate is a top attraction of WWE and after returning as Cowboy Brock last year, he is on a roll in the company. As per rumors, Lesnar might return by the end of this year or in early 2023. Only time will tell who will be the next opponent for The Beast Incarnate in WWE upon his return.

Gunther defended his Intercontinental Title against Sheamus arguably in one of the best matches of the night. It took around 30 slaps for The Ring General to connect on Sheamus’ chest to pin him and retain his title.

A former Australian Boxer once challenged Brock Lesnar

As per reported by Bleacher Report, Australian Boxer, Danny Green, had challenged Brock Lesnar in  2010 during an interview with Fox Sports. The Conqueror was the UFC Heavyweight Champion at the time.
