‘That Was A Trash Ending’: Fans Upset After Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre’s Wonderful Main Event Ends In Screwy Finish

It has been a long time since WWE flew across the seas and came to the land of the English. But when they do, they deliver the best main events.

Just like SummerSlam 1992, when Bret Hart and British Bulldog cemented their name in history, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre have done it as well. Putting on one of the best matches of this year, they have truly made Cardiff acknowledge them.

A battle between the Legend-in-the-Making and The Chosen One was one to watch. Even after 2 years of Roman Reigns being the champion, we still can’t get enough of the Tribal Chief.

But it seems even if Roman puts on a banger of a match, the match loses all of its taste when it ends up being another family member helping him retain the belts in the end.

As mostly everybody expected The Scottish Warrior to end the reign of Tribal Chief, the result disappointed many. It turns out McIntyre is still not The Chosen One to tame the Universal Champion.

The match and the pacing were all top grade, but another repeated ending made the match sour.

Drew winning in his home or the closest to it would have taken off one of the curses of the Vince period. But guess the main event storyline continues from McMahon’s side only.

Fans had the opinion that bringing more and more of Roman’s family members just reeks of poor taste and further bring down Reigns’ reign as champion.

The arena, the fans, the entrance, the theme music, the vibe, his performance, everything matched up like stars aligning straight in hopes of Drew McIntyre’s victory.

For some fans, seeing Roman Reigns at the top for the past 2 years has really felt boring and wasteful of other talents in the company.

Now that McIntyre, Riddle, Edge, Mysterio, Styles, Lashley, and everyone else has failed, the only hope is Cody Rhodes whenever he comes back from injury.
