WWE Monday Night RAW saw the second night of the WWE Draft 2024. With a plethora of names on the roster to get traded, fans were waiting to see where CM Punk was allotted to. JBL and Ron Simmons answered this burning question during the third round. However, Drew McIntyre was not pleased by this and called out the Second City Saint. While showing up on RAW, Punk hit the nostalgia button by wearing a piece of merch not seen for over 10 years in the WWE.

RAW saw Punk continue his feud with McIntyre, which could lead to a match at SummerSlam if He isn’t cleared to wrestle. Perhaps the former AEW star draws inspiration from his glory days to reignite his spirit as evidenced today on Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk returns to RAW with 2011 iconic t-shirt

Punk got drafted for WWE Raw, meaning he will stay on the red brand. However, the Scottish Psychopath was not happy about it. While he called out Punk, the Second City Saint appeared in the skybox. He was seen wearing his 2011 merch, which was among the hottest-selling merch of Punk in 2011. The Best in the World shirt sold like hotcakes amidst the WWE Universe during his first run in the company. They can expect the same despite the former AEW star spending time out on the sidelines. While not medically cleared to wrestle, CM Punk delivered a promo while the Scottish Warrior ran backstage looking for him.

Despite Punk’s 2011 t-shirt design being among the highest-selling merch, it was discontinued once he left the company. The former NXT leader’s plan of action now seems to be to annoy McIntyre every chance he gets. Not only does the Scotsman believe that Punk cost him the title at Mania XL, but he also thinks the Second City Saint is overrated. However, all this back-and-forth could be leading up to an epic match.

CM Punk could wrestle at SummerSlam

While fans have wanted to see Punk wrestle again since his last match in the Men’s Royal Rumble, he still hasn’t been medically cleared. While not wearing a brace tonight, he did clear the air that he wasn’t 100%. Fans speculated that he might return at Backlash, but his return tonight was to forward the feud with McIntyre. The promotion could look to have this marquee matchup at SummerSlam since the timeline of CM Punk’s recovery aligns with this schedule.
