

WWE Holiday Tour 2023 is going on in full effect and the Stamford-based promotion recently organized a house show at Madison Square Garden in New York. It had been quite a while since the promotion organized an event in the popular arena. It was the first event at the place after the merger and TKO formation.
CM Punk had his first WWE fight in a decade during the event. The event held on 12/26/23 was met with an exceptional level of enthusiasm from the fans. The record-breaking success experienced by the WWE at the event is a true testament to the excitement that surrounded it.

The WWE live event at MSG was a complete sell-out
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently shared interesting news on X (formerly known as Twitter). He stated that internal reports from WWE’s live events indicate, as reported by Fightful Select, that the event at Madison Square Garden was a tremendous success with all tickets being sold out.

With record-breaking numbers, the event has solidified its position as the highest-grossing domestic non-televised event in WWE to date. WWE has always done great in terms of profit. But lately, the promotion has been selling out arena after arena and the majority of that has to do with the return of Punk, perhaps.
CM Punk defeated Dominik Mysterio at MSG event held on December 26
After nine long years, Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series last month. Since then, the WWE Universe has been dying to witness him in action. WWE granted their wish yesterday at the MSG arena where he faced Dominik Mysterio in a singles match, where he defeated The Judgment Day member.

It was Punk’s Decade-Long-Awaited WWE In-Ring Return on Tuesday. And fans were extra excited to see him wrestle. Therefore, ‘The Best in the World’ had an enormous hand in selling out the tickets at MSG. His next scheduled match is at Royal Rumble, where he will join ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes and 28 other men for the men’s Royal Rumble elimination match.

However, there is still a month left for that to occur and a lot can happen in that period. The fans may see more of him inside the ring, throwing hands.
