If you ask 100 WWE fans who the MVP of the company is, you are bound to get at least 80 different answers. This is a rather popular question that even the WWE stars are often asked. And just like the fans, each one has their own choice. Cody Rhodes was the latest star to be asked that question, and his answer is something that many fans would agree with.

However, his answer goes against what one WWE Legend recently said. Furthermore, Rhodes did explain why he felt differently regarding the answer.

Cody Rhodes doesn’t believe that Dominik Mysterio is the MVP

Dominik Mysterio gained fame by appearing in the WWE as a child star. Dom appeared as Rey’s son during his father’s feud with Eddie. Today, Dom has established himself as one of the top heels in the company. A move that has led some WWE legends to praise the young man.

Recently, fans were left scratching their heads when Shawn Michaels praised Dominik Mysterio. Speaking with Pete Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, Michaels said, “I look at him as the hardest-working man in the show business.” His dedication to his work led Michaels to name him 2023’s MVP. The Heartbreak Kid even called him a top guy in the business.

However, when Rhodes was posed the same question, he had a different answer. Rhodes said, ” I’d say Seth Rollins, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion is somebody who is more of the MVP.” While respecting Michaels’ answer, Rhodes defended his choice.

He talked about the draw Rollins is when compared to Dominik. However, Rhodes did claim that one day the fans would cheer for Dom just as loud as they boo him today.

Why Seth Rollins deserves the MVP spot and not Dom

When Rhodes defended his choice for Rollins over Dom during the segment, he said that Rollins was a more entertaining personality overall. Rhodes explained how Rollins had more merchandise sales, more draw, and was more entertaining to watch overall.

This is the reason why Rhodes picked Rollins over Dom Dom. While Dom is entertaining, the hate he receives from fans sometimes gets out of hand. Dom hasn’t had a single promo where the loud boos haven’t overtaken his voice.
