There was a lot of speculation about the return of Dwayne The Rock Johnson at Royal Rumble 2023, which could have led to a potential WrestleMania bout against Roman Reigns. With Cody Rhodes winning the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble, the chances of the Brahma Bull’s comeback have suffered a setback. However, Rhodes took time to explain why the Stamford-based promotion could do away with the Brahma Bull at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

As far as the American Nightmare is concerned, he will now face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 after completing his return from injury at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, the former Legacy member highlighted his thoughts on the situation. According to the 37-year-old, WWE boasts superior options in their roster that blend perfectly into the current storylines. However, the former AEW star showed respect to The Great One by addressing him as “one of the GOATS.”

Though Cody Rhodes’ statement about The Rock’s presence at WrestleMania 39 garnered mixed reactions, most of them preferred to agree with the American Nightmare. Fans agree that WWE has been able to build intriguing storylines under the new regime and does not need to bring back former stars to complicate things.

This one is hilarious because he wants Dwayne Johnson to face Roman Reigns next year so that he can watch it live.

I love the rock but this is true, wwe need to build for the future and the roster has more than enough talent for that….but of course I'm hoping for rock-roman next year for Philly so I can be there live lol

With Cody Rhodes set to main event WrestleMania, it is guaranteed that The Brahma Bull will not be having a title shot at WrestleMania 39. He has been finding it tough to make time for the event due to his Hollywood commitments. However, as noted by Triple H at the post-Royal Rumble conference, you never know if the Great One will be present in some capacity as WrestleMania goes Hollywood this year.
