WWE and AEW have been bitter rivals since the inception of the Florida-based promotion. Ever since its debut in 2019, All Elite Wrestling has generated tons of buzz and given stiff competition to arguably the biggest wrestling organization in history, WWE. However, Tony Khan now has a chance to finally beat Vince McMahon.
AEW is very close to achieving a rare milestone that could propel the brand over its biggest competitor.

All Elite Wrestling, which was founded in 2019, ran its first show in October 2019, under the brand Dynamite. With two more shows under its wing, Rampage, and Collision, there hasn’t been any looking back for the new organization.
However, now the board’s founder Tony Khan has a monumental milestone awaiting them.

The company which is set to host a marquee event at the iconic Wembley Stadium on the 27th of August, 2023, has done the unthinkable.
According to the Wrestling News, Wembley Stadium has sold over 69,000 tickets. If it sells 10000 more, it’ll create a record for the highest-paid attendance in pro wrestling history, beating WrestleMania 32 with 79,000 paid attendance.

It has already created the largest paid attendance for a pro wrestling show in several years since 2016.
Though it’s difficult to beat the attendance of WrestleMania 32, it’s not impossible considering the size of Wembley Arena which has over 90,000 seats.
If it actually happens, it’ll be the most significant victory for Tony Khan over Vince McMahon and allow the former to claim bragging rights. Fans, however, are cruelly divided over AEW actually beating WWE, causing a massive fan war.

There are fans declaring AEW and Tony Khan as the clear winner.

Fans have demonstrated a mostly positive response. But with superstars like CM Punk, Chris Jericho, MJF, and Kenny, among others, adding massive star power, one can’t rule out the possibility of them beating WWE.
