He started telling a story about his recent past in WWE. One of the facts he touched upon was him taking a step back within the company so he can help the younger talent.

The part which struck nerves was when he tried to convince the audience that he was better than both Edge and Roman Reigns, and they lacked his ambition.

Just as he was speaking about him working in more matches in the last few weeks than Edge or Roman Reigns have in the last few months, ‘The Tribal Chief’ arrived.

He told Bryan to take a step back from his words. Reigns told Bryan that while he didn’t need the business, it was the business that needed him, and even Bryan needed him.

Roman Reigns worked his charm and showcased top-notch mic skills, which are becoming a staple ever since his turn to the dark side.

Daniel Bryan wants to dethrone Roman Reigns

WWE booked Daniel Bryan against Jey Uso for a high-stakes steel cage match for the episode. If Bryan won, he would challenge Roman Reigns for the title at Fastlane.

Lately, Daniel Bryan has been trying to get a title shot for the WWE Universal championship.

He first got the chance when he became the winner of the Elimination Chamber match. Unfortunately, it took Roman Reigns a couple of minutes to knock out Bryan and make him unconscious with the Guillotine hold.

However, Bryan got a second chance to redeem himself. If he could defeat Jey Uso, he would get a shot at Roman.

Unfortunately, the match ended in a disappointing no-contest. Both Bryan and Uso were fighting outside the ring, and none of them made it back inside the ring within the countdown.

It’s clear that Bryan has been waiting to receive this push from WWE for a while. Being in a storyline with Roman Reigns prior to WrestleMania will help put him under the spotlight.
