John Cena is one of the most celebrated WWE superstars of all time. Ever since making his debut in the industry, Cena has dominated the entire wrestling industry. After failing to make a career in bodybuilding, John Cena chose pro wrestling as his career option.

And, the moment he entered the world of WWE, there was no looking back. Through hard work and years of struggle, Cena rose to the ladder of success and fame. Over the course of his career, he won multiple championships and accolades and registered himself as one of the greats.

The 45-year-old is now an actor in Hollywood and has successfully transitioned his career from a pro wrestler to that of an actor and makes sporadic appearances for the company. However, as The Road to WrestleMania began, rumors rose of Cena returning at WrestleMania 39, possibly to pass the torch.

The United States Champion Theory is rumored to face John Cena at WrestleMania 39, one of the most highly anticipated matches. Moreover, John Cena’s return on WWE Raw in Boston was recently announced. It prompted WWE legend and 16-time World Champion Ric Flair to opine on the match and spoke highly of The Leader of Cenation.

What did Ric Flair say about John Cena?

Both Cena and Flair are two of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. Throughout their career, both wrestlers established themselves as legends and broke multiple records. Speaking on “To Be the Man” podcast, Flair opined on Cena’s rumored match against Theory.

He claimed that if the match would benefit Theory and the company, Cena would do it because he is such a guy. Flair said, I know this about John. And this is what makes John special. If there’s a scenario, and trust me this is not from him. But I know, I know him very well. If there’s a position that will help the company and help an individual that he likes, he’s in if Theory wrestling John Cena makes Theory automatically a big player.”

The 73-year-old legend further praised Cena and claimed that it is not about him anymore, and how it is about Cena helping make the company better.  While praising, Flair also compared Cena with two other legends of WWE.

Over the years, and since its inception, WWE has seen the birth of several legends and their rise to stardom. Two of them being Flair and Cena themselves. However, while speaking on his podcast, Flair went on to compare Cena with two other legends.

Flair claimed that Cena is on par with The Rock, and Stone Cold and it is what makes him great. These legends stayed their time at the company and crafted themselves as one the greats and also helped build other stars and now Cena finds himself in a similar role.
