Injuries are part and parcel of an athlete’s life. More so in contact sports. Over the years, many pro-wrestlers have had to take hiatuses or cut their careers short because of injuries sustained during their matches. However, a current WWE superstar, who’s well above the 40-year age mark, is proving to be an exception.
Though a heel, his fitness and dedication towards the craft have won fans over. The WWE Universe now wants the company to give him a major push.

Fans in awe as Finn Balor fights Rey Mysterio with stapled skull, demand title run
This stuff may look straight from a fantasy film, but this is what Finn Balor gave the fans in reality. Just a week ago, Balor busted open his skull during his WrestleMania 39 match against Edge.
The Irish Captor’s head caught a steel ladder from the R-Rated Superstar and needed 14 staples. Any other superstar would have needed a few weeks to come back to the ring, not Balor.

If this was impressive, here’s what will blow your mind. A few days ago, the inaugural WWE Universal Champion posted an incredible story on Instagram about his massive health scare weeks before the match at SoFi Stadium.
Balor revealed he had suffered a grade-2 calf tear just 23 days before his match with Edge. “With just 3 weeks & 2 days to Wrestlemania WWE medical team ‘threw the kitchen sink at it’ & with some careful planning, long days of rehab and a lot of swear words we made it back in time with a day or two spare!” Balor wrote.
Such developments have not surpassed the fans, who now want the WWE to pay the 41-year-old his dues.
“That’s why the demon persona fits him so well. It’s a shame he had to lose to Edge but he still looked strong in match. He deserves a title shot and soon,” a Twitter user wrote.

Its passion and talent like this that should be observed by management and rewarded tremendously(aka a big push)
No matter the age of a wrestler, if there is passion like this then there should be multiple discussions about making him/her the top star of a brand

Balor describes himself as ‘Tough SOB’, celebrates win over Rey Mysterio
The Real Shooter took on Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on a recent episode of WWE Raw. Balor clinched the victory by pinning the Biggest Little Man, albeit with help from a Judgement Day stablemate.
Rey had momentum on his side until Dominik Mysterio finally managed to knock him down with a steel chain. The junior Mysterio had been attempting the move since his WrestleMania 39 match. Taking advantage, Balor jumped and pinned his famed opponent.
“I beat the ‘Hall of Famer’ @reymysterio with 14 Staples STILL in my head! Tough SOB! #finn14staples,” he tweeted later, reminding the WWE Universe that the Hall of Famer went down against an injured man. Pretty impressive for a 41-year-old battling stitches and torn calf.
