The segment involving Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio on the latest edition of Raw took a personal turn when Cody called Dominik his father’s mistake. Although Cody Rhodes is the ultimate babyface in WWE today, his comments caught the ire of the fans. Surprisingly, fans on Twitter heavily criticized The American Nightmare for his insensitive remarks on Dominik Mysterio. 

During the show, Cody Rhodes made an appearance on The Miz TV. He was then interrupted by Dominik and Rhea Ripley. At some point, Dominik called Cody “a little birdie with broken wings” referring to the latter’s injured arm. Things went far when Dom Dom indicated that Cody Rhodes was a deadbeat father just like Rey Mysterio, sparking a reaction from Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes’ disrespectful comment hit a nerve. While Rhodes was blindsided, Dominik snuck up and delivered a hard slap. However, Cody could not retaliate, as Dominik’s great protector, Rhea Ripley, safeguarded him. But some fans on Twitter think Cody deserved the slap. Not just that but Rhea Ripley also took to Twitter to express her disbelief over Cody’s remarks. And some fans sided with her and Dominik.

Although Dominik is one of the most hated superstars, some fans believe that he is the future of the company. And without a doubt, the son of the Hall of Famer is on his way to reaching new heights in his career. 

At this point, we don’t know if Cody Rhodes will look to retaliate against the slap. We will have to wait and see how this story develops. For now, Dominik is safe behind Rhea Ripley. But, sooner or later, Dom Dom is going to have to move out of his mami’s shadow.

After what transpired in the ring, Cody Rhodes’ wife, Brandi, took to Twitter to react to the segment. By the looks of it, it is certain that Brandi Rhodes is upset that Cody could not even things out after the slap due to Rhea Ripley’s presence. And let’s not forget, it was Dominik Mysterio who made it personal first by calling Cody Rhodes a deadbeat dad. 

Taking to Twitter, Brandi Rhodes tweeted, “Papa wont hit Mami… but Mommy will.”

In case you didn’t know, Brandi Rhodes has a fairly significant amount of experience as a wrestler. She was also the Chief Brand Officer of AEW. Her response on Twitter has gotten the fans curious about her in-ring return.
