The wrestling business in the 1980s and 90s was a lot different from what it is now. Wrestlers back then indulged themselves in the world of substances or heavy drinking, which later affected their health a lot. Several wrestlers from that era lost their life, as a result of their bad lifestyle.

WWE legend Ric Flair was known for his ‘flair’ for heavy drinking. Throughout his career, he lived an extravagant life, filled with luxurious items, drinking, and partying. However, those traits did not affect him then but took a toll during his old age.

In the latest tweet by Ric Flair, a video showed Ric Flair’s medically induced coma incident. Flair underwent a major health scare when he was put on life support.

His wife, Wendy spoke in the video and was on the verge of tears. She said, There were three people who absolutely if they weren’t there for me, I would have fallen apart and it would have never worked. I never could have done everything I could have for Ric. And one was my oldest daughter, Sophia.”

She further stated that Stone Cold Steve Austin was another man, that stood there by her when she needed him. The third person was Hulk Hogan.

She said, And the third person was Hogan. Every single day, he checked in, he flew in and prayed with Ric, and we sat and talked, and prayed and I still to this day, since he was here.” Hulk Hogan is a busy man, and he daily left his schedule behind to check on Flair and be there with him.

At Hogan’s age, traveling daily takes a toll on the body, but he did it nevertheless. Hogan remained a true friend, and without caring about anything else, was there for ‘The Nature Boy’.

Hulk Hogan presented Ric Flair with a wholesome message

During Flair’s health scare, The Hulkster presented him a book. In the same video, his wife Wendy stated how she read Flair the book Hogan gave, on a daily basis. She said, I still to this day, since he was here, and gave us the book, I read it to him everyday.”

The video then showed Flair reading the message which Hogan wrote in Flair’s book. It said, ” To Ric, the number of your days shall be filled. Now, is the time to tell the story, now is the time to help millions of people. You are the greatest wrestler, I have ever seen. I am honored on being your real friend. Love you my brother, you are the man.”

The Nature Boy then concluded with, Never thought two people that were mortal enemies in the wrestling business man, we hated each other. Now we are close like this.” Back in the day, Flair and Hogan shared a brutal rivalry with each other, but years later, they are one of the closest people in the industry.
