Roman Reigns is arguably one of the greatest in-ring wrestlers of the current era. Ever since Reigns returned in 2020, he has been on a dominating run. Reigns has brushed aside all of his roadblocks to reach the epitome of success.

His current Wiseman Paul Heyman recently addressed the G.O.A.T debate and dismissed all concerns related to the greatest of all time. Despite Dwayne Johnson being one of Reigns’ biggest roadblocks, and a potential future rival, Heyman would silently push him out of the debate.

“More greatness to pursue”: Paul Heyman pushes aside Dwayne Johnson out of the G.O.A.T debate while ranking Roman Reigns

During the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump, fans would witness Paul Heyman sitting down for an interview. It turned out to be one of the most entertaining interviews of all time, with Heyman addressing several concerns. And, one of them being the G.O.A.T debate, and Reigns wanting to pursue greatness.

Speaking on the same, Heyman would take John Cena and Bruno Sammartino’s names, while completely brushing aside The Rock. Heyman stated, “Roman Reigns wanted to solidify his legacy. Roman Reigns knew that he had peaked as the big dog, and there was nowhere left for him to go. Four WrestleMania main events, multiple heavyweight championships. What more could Roman Reigns have pulled off? Then he realized there is more. There is a higher mountaintop. “

He further said, “There is the claim that John Cena could be the greatest of all time. There is the claim that Bruno Sammartino was the greatest champion of all time. These were all goals that Roman Reigns said, ‘We’re gonna go after them one by one, and like snipers, we’re gonna pick them off.’ So that’s what ended up doing.”

The Wiseman of WWE claimed that when Reigns went for the world titles three years ago, Heyman knew that this was going to be a long reign. And similarly so, Reigns has been holding the titles for more than three years now, and fans wonder what is next for him.

However, while Heyman kept Johnson aside of the G.O.A.T debate, he compared Reigns with Cena but ranked him over the 16-time world champion.

Earlier during the same interview, Heyman would address the same concern and put Reigns over Cena. He would observe a crew member wearing a John Cena T-shirt, and state, “John Cena is the second place GOAT because Roman Reigns is the GOAT. That T-shirt is very stupid.”

Cena had returned during the 2021 SummerSlam and had a bout against Roman Reigns, in a losing effort. The Tribal Chief is enjoying the run of his life, and fans are waiting to see who might be the one to finally dethrone Reigns from the top of the table.
