Jeff Jarrett and his career in WWE
Jeff Jarrett is currently signed with AEW. He works as the Director of Business development there. Jeff started his career in WWE with the ‘country music star’ gimmick in 1992. The major highlights of his first run in WWE were his feud with Bret Hart and his intercontinental championship reign.

During his second run in WWE, Jeff formed a tag team with Owen Hart. Both won the tag team championship before WrestleMania 15. He even won the intercontinental championship once again. Jarrett left WWE in October 1999 and joined WCW, which was the prime competitor of WWE at that time. Before his departure, he was alleged by Chyna for his alliance with WWE head writer Vince Russo to delay his title loss.

However, in 2001, when WWE purchased WCW, Vince McMahon didn’t show any interest in resigning Jeff Jarrett, which left him jobless and later that year he joined World Wrestling All-Stars.
From Hall of Famer to backstage producer in WWE
When Jeff was inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2018, several fans were shocked because of his infamous departure in 1999. Not only this, but WWE rehired Jeff in 2019 as a backstage producer. However, he quietly left the company in 2021, until Vince rehired him in January 2022, but it didn’t last long as Jeff said ‘Goodbye’ to WWE later in August.

There is no particular reason behind the hate that Jeff Jarrett gets from the wrestling fans. It could either be his infamous alleged deal with Vince Russo or because of his regular jump shifts. But with his latest interview, the hate seems to be diluting. No matter if fans like or dislike him, no one can disagree that Jeff is an amazing entertainer.
