Dave Bautista, popularly known as Batista, among wrestling fans, is one of those WWE superstars who also earned a good name in the Hollywood industry. 

Dave Bautista has been a part of several Hollywood movies, and it also includes his role as ‘Drax the Destroyer’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even though he was a part of one of the most successful franchises in the film industry, he still has an unaccomplished goal when it comes to his acting career. 

Recently, during the premiere of his latest movie ‘Knock at the Cabin’, the former WWE champion Batista talked about his deep desire to be a part of a romantic comedy.

He mentioned that he accepts the fact that he is nothing like a typical rom-com lead. And, he always questions himself if he is that unattractive to play a romantic hero. But, he still hopes that someday, he will surely get a chance to star in a romantic comedy.

While talking to ‘Page Six’, Dave Bautista said, “I know I’m not your typical rom-com lead…..I’m a little rough around the edges. But I always, you know, I look in the mirror and I say, I ask myself, ‘Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?’…..I don’t know. It’s just never come my way. I’ve never had an offer to do a rom-com. I still have high hopes. I’ll just keep searching.”

Dave Bautista started his acting career in the late 2000s. Initially, he made several cameo appearances in different shows. In 2014, he finally got his big break, and he played ‘Drax the Destroyer’ in Marvel Studios’ film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.

Later, he appeared in several successful movies like Spectre, Kickboxer, Blade Runner, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. 

If you dive deeper into the acting career of Batista, you will notice that he had stared in a wide spectrum of genres. From horror, fantasy, and adventure to the superhero, Batista has already covered them all.
