Rey Mysterio was the first inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023. When the news hit the internet that Ric Flair would reveal the next inductee of this year’s Hall of Fame, the entire WWE Universe speculated it would be Batista, given his history with The Nature Boy.

However, the fans were wrong. In WWE The Bump podcast, Slick Ric announced The Great Muta as the second inductee into the Hall of Fame this year. In addition, the latest reports suggest that The Animal might not get inducted this year as well.

Why Batista might not be in the Hall of Fame 2023

The 4-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion was supposed to be inducted into the 2020 Hall of Famer class three years ago. But because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, WWE had to postpone the event to next year. But he could not attend the 2021 Hall of Fame event as he had a busy schedule.

According to PWInsider, this year too, the retired pro wrestler is reportedly being said to miss the Hall of Fame event because of his Hollywood commitments. The wrestle-turned-actor won’t be able to clear his schedule for the Hall of Fame event during WrestleMania week.

It is because he will be busy shooting for his new film, ‘My Spy: The Eternal City’ in South Africa. By the looks of it, the chances of the 2-time WWE Champion getting inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame are looking really thin.

And this piece of news has left the WWE Universe heartbroken as they were pretty excited to see The Animal in this year’s class of Hall of Fame.
