Rumors are that former WWE Champion and AEW Champion CM Punk might be back in WWE. Though there were controversies surrounding his exit from AEW, his stardom can’t be ignored. Some experts believe that Triple H and Vince McMahon might not be interested in signing him back, but hints are dropping in from everywhere.

After the recent hints dropped from a WWE commentator at Fastlane, fans started speculating more. However, the same commentator then took to X to clarify the situation while denying claims under the ruse of his name.

Controversial wrestler CM Punk fought Jungle Boy Jack Perry before Tony Khan bid goodbye to him. While Punk and WWE have not given any official statement yet, a few hints have dropped here and there. The most recent bomb was from WWE commentator Cory Graves who has now denied such claims.

Graves tweeted on October 8 a clarification about his recent comments from Fastlane. His tweet read, “The mental gymnastics performed by “wrestling Twitter” are exhausting. Simone Biles level. “Living life on the edge of a lightning bolt…” I quoted DUSTY RHODES! Do a little homework, “experts.” #WWEFastlane

Cory Graves blasted out at social media wrestling fans and experts who used his commentary from Fastlane. He labeled it as mental gymnastics and even drew an analogy with American gymnast Simone Biles. As per Graves, his quote “Living life on the edge of a lightning bolt…” was a reference to Dusty Rhodes’s statement.

Graves’ statement comes after fans used Graves’s line during his commentary at Fastlane. He used the phrase “Living life on the edge of a lightning bolt…” after Seth Rollins won his match against Nakamura. Interestingly, CM Punk used the same quote in one of his Instagram stories in April. Hence, fans started building connections using the quote. The question still stands. Will CM Punk come to WWE?

Shawn Michaels wants CM Punk at NXT

A week ago, Shawn Michaels was in support of calling back CM Punk to WWE. While speaking about Punk’s departure from AEW, Michaels said that he believes having Punk on NXT will be a great addition.

However, Michaels knows that Punk would want to be on the main roster. Michaels also acknowledged that handling CM Punk would be a difficult task too, as evident from his recent behavioral issues at AEW.
