An action by the former WWE star, CM Punk made fans react differently while leaving them in a dilemma. 

When Punk’s name pops up, the first thing that crosses everyone’s mind is the AEW brawl that happened on September 2022. It’s been a few months since that brutal brawl, however, it looks like the 44-year-old has still not come over it. His recent social media post is presumably pointing at it, which made fans confused.

The two-time WWE Champion has recently shared a reel on his Instagram story about forgiveness that reminded fans of the well-known AEW brawl. They also came up with their distinct opinions on it, combined with the assumptions of his return.

Everything goes back to the day when Phil launched into a verbal tirade at a post-match press conference after the AEW All Out pay-per-view was over. There he took direct shots at The Elites, which soon caused a huge locker-room bust-up. Things went worse when physical violence took place and eventually security had to be called up.

The backstage brawl also led to an indefinite suspension of The Best in the World. However, his status with the promotion is still up in the air. All of this might have turned some fans against Punk as they have trolled him a number of times. 

The recent reel that the suspended AEW star shared had some eye-catching lines like, “Forgiveness isn’t forgetting and forgiveness isn’t an invitation to do it again.” To this, fans started guessing if it hints at his AEW return or if he is now moving on.

The mixed reactions of fans not only reflect their distinct views but also their dilemma as no one is sure about what this action by the star means. While some fans termed him a ‘drama queen’ and ‘cringe’, there were others who thought this was a silly act by The Voice of the Voiceless. 

Some fans also anticipate for Punk to return to the ring. They feel it’s his place and he should be there performing.
