WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off this week with a heartfelt tribute to Brodie Lee and his career. What followed was a heated brawl between Sheamus and Keith Lee that has been steaming over for weeks.

With Drew McIntyre failing to be the peaceful mediator thanks to Sheamus, the two went head on to settle their differences. Sheamus tried to end the newly promoted Keith Lee early with two Brogue kicks but failed.

Keith Lee, however, soon showed why he is a powerhouse and former double champion of NXT by manhandling ‘The Celtic Warrior’. Sheamus had no answer for the raw aggression and was eventually taken out by a Spirit Bomb by Lee.

Following the victory, Keith Lee earned an opportunity to fight Drew McIntyre next week for the coveted WWE Championship. This will be his big opportunity to cement his place on the main roster.

The big stare-off between the two built the excitement even more. What’s even better is that this is just one of the matches announced for next week’s special edition of Raw.

The WWE Championship match has raised the hype for Legends Night

The first episode of the show next year will be called ‘Legends Night’ which will see the return of famous WWE legends such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Sgt Slaughter, Melina, Big Show, Torrie Wilson, and many more.

The high stakes involved may be something big but interference from Sheamus is more or less a guarantee. While Keith Lee does have a history with Drew McIntyre, fans also suspect a feud between Sheamus and the Champion who have a friendship going back to over a decade.

The storyline will have a lot more depth and WWE has been pushing Sheamus a lot lately. ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ has been reigning over 2020 with an iron fist over the title. Barring the short loss to Randy Orton in between, McIntyre has been untouchable.
