The long journey for ‘The Scottish Psychopath‘ chasing the WWE Championship ended this Sunday on Hell in a Cell PPV. It all began on January 27, 2020, on RAW, when he declared that he will face Brock Lesnar for the Championship at WrestleMania 36. Unfortunately for him, given the stipulation of the match, he can no longer challenge for the WWE Championship till Bobby Lashley is at the helm. McIntyre did give ‘The Almighty‘ a run for his money inside the cage, but thanks to MVP’s shenanigans, Lashley retained the belt. McIntyre took to Twitter to thank his fans for their constant support.

Now since McIntyre is barred from challenging for the WWE Championship, maybe WWE has other big plans set for him. He could be drafted back to SmackDown and can challenge the ‘Tribal Chief‘ for his WWE Universal Championship. This could be an amazing storyline feud between the two major superstars. It could also lead to a possible title change, who knows?
