The Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre, is currently one of the most over-stars on the WWE roster. The unhinged heel with an obsession with winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has had an incredible run since the start of 2024. Even after crediting himself for taking out fan-favorite CM Punk from WrestleMania XL, fans love him. Most recently, he won the Elimination Chamber match, ensuring he gets his WWE World Heavyweight title shot at Mania.

However, many fans aren’t aware that McIntyre hasn’t signed a new contract with the WWE. Will the Scottish Warrior be leaving the WWE despite the success he’s currently enjoying?

When it comes to one of the main-stays in WWE’s current storylines, it’s Drew McIntyre. Appearing on every episode of RAW, he’s feuded with everyone, including Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, The Judgment Day, etc. However, according to reports, his current WWE contract is set to expire, and a new one has not been signed yet. Previous reports indicated that 2023 could’ve been McIntyre’s last year in the WWE. However, with his win at Elimination Chamber, it is clear that the WWE has grand plans for him for this year’s Show of Shows.

FightSelect confirmed that McIntyre’s WWE contract extends post-WrestleMania XL. The extended time comes as a result of injuries and time out from inactivity being added to the contract. Sources close to the star have also confirmed that negotiations are ongoing. The Stamford-based promotion respects McIntyre’s work not only in the ring but also in all of WWE’s media and community events. He is a beloved part of the WWE Universe and in the company. Despite this positive reputation, a new deal isn’t in place yet for the Scottish Warrior.
