Drew McIntyre has made quite a respectful career for himself after his return to WWE. However, 2023 might be the year in which he leaves the promotion yet again. Looking back on his wrestling career, the farewell may also be a memorable one. Moreover, there is a fear that McIntyre’s retirement might be sooner than anything else. For now, McIntyre will be appearing in an Intercontinental Championship match in WrestleMania 39.

There are speculations that this might be the last ever WrestleMania match for the Scottish Warrior. Reading along the news, fans might also get worried about his future in the promotion.

McIntyre made his WWE debut in 2007, four years after his first-ever wrestling debut. His career began well after an endorsement from Vince McMahon. However, things went downhill for him and he couldn’t make progress in the company and was released in 2014. But he did not stop just there, McIntyre utilized this time to make the best out of his career elsewhere.

After he returned to WWE in 2018, he had become a world-renowned wrestling star. He had gained experience in several promotions while enjoying his freedom as a free agent. Although McIntyre’s career since his WWE rejoining has been great for him, he still hasn’t renewed his contract with the promotion.

According to PW Insider, McIntyre’s contract with WWE is currently on borrowed time. Although things are going his way, it is suspected that the wrestler may not renew this contract. Hence, WrestleMania 39 might end up being his last-ever WrestleMania. Hoping he bags the win, the match becomes immensely important for the wrestler as he takes goes against Sheamus and Gunther in a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship.

The news that PW Insider provided the fans with is indeed very upsetting. To say that McIntyre isn’t the only one suspected to leave the promotion might make things worse for fans. Logan Paul, the popular internet celebrity who has impressed with his WWE performances in the ring, is also having his contract coming to an end.

In a recent podcast, Paul explained how his contract with WWE is coming to an end after WrestleMania. Much like McIntyre’s situation, Paul didn’t further explain whether he would want to renew his contract with WWE. With both of these situations out in the open, one can only sit and wonder about their possible future.
