AEW Superstar Praises Randy Orton Ahead Of WWE Backlash

AEW’s Dustin Rhodes has referred to Barry Windham and Randy Orton as the “smoothest guys” in the wrestling business.

Dustin’s father Dusty Rhodes had a lot of memorable moments and was part of that iconic wrestling era that got WWE to where it is today. As a lover of the sport, Dustin has seen some of the best matches.

Keeping all the action from then to now in mind, he has labeled Hall Of Famer Barry Windham as a smooth wrestler. Not many of you may recall those thrilling showdowns between Dusty Rhodes and Windham.

If you want a comparison, it was like Schwarzenegger vs Stallone. Both wanted to get ahead of the other and would do anything to get the upper hand. However, the mutual respect the two had for each other was great.

“The Viper” on the other hand is the definition of smooth. Perfecting the RKO over the years, he is absolutely flawless, never making mistakes in the ring. 

Randy Orton has been in WWE for over a decade and has never seen a drop in approval ratings. He has somehow always found the line between “too much” and “too less”. 

This makes him the wild card, and one of the most respected wrestlers in the business. Rhodes seems to draw his reason out of this fact.

Orton must be proud, being pegged as one of the smoothest guys in the business. Many would agree with Rhodes on that. Orton has been in brilliant form for a long time and has inarguably etched his name in the all-time greats list.

Now, Orton will take his status to the next level. He will face Edge in what is promoted as “the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”. It will be a new career-high for “The Viper” if he comes out on top.

As a child, Dustin Rhodes probably enjoyed the antics of Barry Windham and sees Randy Orton in the same light today.

We cannot argue with Rhodes on his choices, mostly because we can’t think of many people smoother than Randy Orton or Barry Windham.
