WWE took to Instagram on February 8th to post clips from the recent WrestleMania Kickoff press conference they held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The press conference ended dramatically as WWE World Champions, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were assisted on the stage by Cody Rhodes and The Rock respectively. However, the clips from the segment have given Roman Reigns a reality check.

Fans are pushing Cody Rhodes over The Rock and Roman Reigns

While Roman Reigns decided to fight his cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at the main event of WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes chose Roman Reigns over Seth Rollins. WWE has uploaded two separate clips for the segment which has received massive responses from fans.

The clip where Reigns declared his decision was uploaded with the caption, “@romanreigns has made his decision at the #WrestleMania XL Kickoff! ☝️.” It has garnered nearly 2.8 million plays by now with over 217K likes. However, fans have shown an even greater response for Cody Rhodes. The clip which was uploaded with the caption, “@americannightmarecody has made his decision! 😤” has received over 3.8 million plays with 328K likes.

WWE fans are riding high on the Dwayne Johnson hate train after last week’s SmackDown and it was evident during the conference and social media. Well, they have a reason for hating on The People’s Champion. The Rock has not only hijacked Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania moment but used his corporate power to do so. But fans have reminded him of who the real boss is.

A change in storyline before WrestleMania XL as fans overtake The Rock’s interference

Perhaps, that’s why we are seeing a change in the storyline now. Whereas we were led to believe that The Rock would face Reigns while Rhodes faced Rollins at WrestleMania, now we are back to square one, again. The only thing assured as of now is Rhodes challenging Reigns for the title. How does The Rock fit into all of this, nobody knows.

While many fans are busy giving credit to Triple H for the storyline, some fans believe that the d***h threats to Ava Raine worked. Regardless, Dwayne Johnson has now gone heel heading into WrestleMania. WWE universe is now cooked up for WrestleMania XL with an injured Rollins yet to find an opponent.
